Anika Noni Rose is an American actress and performer. She's best known for portraying Tiana Disney's very first African American Princess as Tiana Disney's first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. She was named a Disney legend in the year 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robertson on Dreamgirls, which won the Academy Award. Anika Noni rose (born on the 6th September 1973) is an American performer and singer. She is also known for her performance in the theatre, particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux and as Emmie in the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) where she received the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger, who played the Broadway adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
